- Digital Telephone Patch enables MOTOTRBO digital system (radio) users to place and receive telephone calls which are routed via a gateway between a landline telephone network and MOTOTRBO radio system.
- The gateway between the landline telephone network and the MOTOTRBO radio system comprises a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Analog Phone Patch (APP) box connected to a MOTOTRBO repeater known as a phone gateway repeater.
